Collection: Balsamic vinegar of Modena “Pontevecchio” line by Acetaia Leonardi
The Leonardi Agricultural Company has its origins in the 18th century but has been exclusively dedicated to the production of high-quality Balsamic Vinegar since the second half of the 19th century, using its own raw materials. In fact, the company extends over 10 hectares of land cultivated with vineyards, mainly Trebbiano di Modena (white grapes) and Lambrusco (red grapes) in the varieties of Sorbara, Castelvetro and Ancellotta. It is therefore defined as a closed-cycle company, or a short supply chain since all the production phases take place at the place of harvest. Balsamic Vinegar is a unique condiment in the world, produced in limited quantities because it is historically linked to the Provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia. It seems, in fact, that the microclimate of these areas, with very high temperature variations between the hot summers and the cold winters, allows the Musts to ferment and mature excellently according to traditional production methods. This tradition is still alive in the Leonardi family who with patience and meticulous care reproduces the production cycle of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena year after year, with gestures that have been repeated for centuries and that give life to an ever-renewed emotion.
