Dolomites

The Dolomiten König produced by Mila is a cutting cheese from Trentino-Alto Adige, with a semi-hard texture made with pasteurized cow's milk, salt and rennet. It is left to mature for 7 weeks.
The cheese has a convex shape, the paste is white-yellow in color and with strong circular holes.
The pasta, however, is of a color ranging from light yellow to pale orange, and is not edible.
The consistency is soft and elastic and the flavor is delicate, sweet and aromatic, with a nutty aftertaste. It is usually served on a platter, as an appetizer or as an aperitif, accompanied by other cheeses, cold cuts, cured meats and toasted bread.
We recommend pairing the cheese with honey or jam.
